I have tried both, and I was surprised the Sportster was vibrating so much more. But still- the vibrations of the Sportster were about the same as my Yamaha SR 500 (single cylinder), so there is no big trouble getting used to it, unless you suffer from carpaltunnel-syndroma or have other problems with bloodcirkulation in your hands.
Off the big singles I have tried the Savage was the one that clearly vibrated less than others. I was happily surprised. That was one of the reasons I bought a Savage.
